Fenerbahce keeps good Form of run

Fenerbahce kept their good run of form going after two goals from former Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt helped them register a 3-0 win overKasimpasa. This was the fourth consecutive victory for the Turkish outfit in all competitions.

It helps them keep their position at the top of the table ahead of Besiktas and Galatasaray, who are both just one point behind Fenerbahce. The Turkish club, though, could lose one they are important players –Kuyt – after it emerged that AC Milan have made him their number one transfer target in January.

At 34 years of age, it is believed thatKuyt is looking for a return to Dutch football. He has been at Fenerbahce since 2012 and it did not take long for him to become a fan favourite with his unselfish workhorse nature.

This year, he has managed to add goals to his game.Kuyt has now scored six goals in 17 appearances this campaign. Milan will be spending the next two months without their star striker Stephan El Shaarawy, who suffered a major injury in the recent match against Lazio. Filippo Inzaghi is understood to be keen on signing a short-term cover for the injured star.Kuyt fits perfectly in this category and he could be allowed to leave in the summer.

Milan, though, are not the only club looking at signing the player on a short-term deal. The likes of West Ham, Feyenoord, Valencia, and Lyon are interested in signing the 34-year-old. Feyenoord will especially have an advantage if they entered the race given thatKuyt played for them before moving to English football with Liverpool.Kuyt spent six years at Liverpool during which time he won the Carling cup. However, he was always held in high regard by the Liverpool fans just as he is popular with Fenerbahce supporters.
