KUYT DRUMS UP SUPPORT FOR GERRARD

Dirk Kuyt has drummed up support for Rangers boss Steven Gerrard as a future Liverpool manager. The former Liverpool attacker made this known in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mirror. According to him, Gerrard has what it takes to be a successful manager in the Anfield dugout.

Kuyt has been impressed with Steven Gerrard and how the Liverpool legend has been able to take Rangers back to the top of club football in Scotland. Gerrard was the mastermind as Rangers ended the nine-year reign of Celtic as Scottish Premiership champions. Gerrard and his Rangers went through the entire league season without a single defeat to emerge champions.

LIVERPOOL: KUYT PREDICTS TITLE WIN

Liverpool will win the Premier League title next season despite an underwhelming campaign this term according to former club striker Dirk Kuyt. Kuyt made this known in an interview with Stadium Astro earlier this month. According to the Dutchman, the Reds would bounce back from the disappointing defence of the league title won last season by winning another one next season.

Arsenal legend Tony Adams was in unison with Dirk Kuyt over the issue of the Premier League title next season. The ex-Arsenal defender agreed with Dirk Kuyt on Liverpool winning the Premier League next season and he was even more optimistic than the Ex-Liverpool attacker about the Merseyside club and its preparations ahead of next season.

UNITED PAID LIVERPOOL BACK YEARS LATER

Manchester United have had to wait for nine years to pay arch rivals Liverpool back in their own coin after the FA Cup fourth round clash between the two big clubs at the weekend. The two teams had met at the same stage of the competition nine years ago and it was Liverpool who scored late to move into the fifth round at the expense of Manchester United.


Liverpool beat Manchester United 2-1 at home in their fourth round clash during the 2012 FA Cup. Dirk Kuyt was the hero for hosts Liverpool as his goal was crucial to the outcome of the game. Dirk Kuyt scored in the final minutes of the game to hand the Reds victory after South Korean football legend and Manchester United man Park Ji-Sung had cancelled out the opening goal from Daniel Agger for the hosts. WHY KUYT LEFT FEYENOORD JOB REVEALED

Dutch football legend Dirk Kuytquit his job as a youth coach at Feyenoord where he had two spells and also retired as a footballer. The 40-year-old has decided to put his dreams of becoming a manager on hold for a greater reason as reported by the Daily Mirror earlier this summer. Dirk Kuythad always wanted to follow in the footsteps ofhis Liverpool teammate Steven Gerrardby going into management.


Gerrard has done a good job as the Rangers manager since he took the job last summer after leading the Scottish giants to second place at the end of the league campaign last season. There has been a significant improvement for Gerrard and Rangers in the league this season with the team presently at the top of the table Rangers have an 11-point lead over rivals Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premier League table though Celtic have played two games less. Bayern Munich have left the race to land Bayern Leverkusen youngster Kai Havertz. Bayern Munich who recently wrapped up the league title are not prepared to match Bayer Leverkusen’s valuation of their much-fancied talisman.


Bayern Munich are known for poaching the most prestigious talents in the Bundesliga. Many had expected them to make a move for the Leverkusen starlet this summer.

J.S PARK BELIEVES MINAMINO WOULD SUCCEED

Takumi Minamino is expected to make the mark and be a success with Liverpool according to former Manchester United player Park Ji Sung. The former United midfielder expects the Japan international to adapt to English topflight.He stated that he will need time to adapt to the pace of the league.


Park also stated his pleasure with Asia footballers making the move to major clubs around Europe. Minamino is the first Japanese to represent Liverpool, a move that is welcomed by another Asia export to the English topflight.
